Default raising shift points with converter?

had issues with my old trans, now i have a built one and am wondering if anyone has upped their shift RPM after a converter and had any good results? I have aftermarket heads and with this trans I'm not afraid to rev it a little higher. ideas?

Are you still on the stock cam? If so, I really don't see much benefit in shifting at a higher rpm. The converter will keep you in your powerband after the shifts, so raising the shift point above the peak of your cam will just scoot you out of your powerband before the shift.

well, being that the 2.73's spin up faster at the top end of the track and i'm ending the 1/4 shifting right into 3rd gear, I was wanting to raise the rpms just a tad to make 2nd shift closer to 1320
