Default hooker headers LT

i called a speed shop and asked them about hooker LTs on a mostly stock TA and they told me if i get them i would loose most of my bottom end torque.
is this credible or are they just trying to get me to buy a more expisve header?
if anyone has a set up like myself what kind of affect did it put on the car
thanks

The benefits of long tube headers greatly overweighs the minor loss in bottom end torque.

You'll lose some low end torque with any headers. However, the hooker LT's are a great header, and you'll gain more power throughout the entire rpm band as well as peak. They'd be a good investment.
