Need help with brother's T/A, many codes...
Symptoms:
Failure for car to start w/multiple cranks
When it does start, it may sometimes backfire, stumble and idle poorly
Nothing has been changed to the car as far as modifying it etc, no preceeding events can be traced to this.
Things done:
Dealer replaced PCM w/stock flash (it had corrosion inside it)
Dealer replaced pins at PCM that had corrosion.
It has a stock PCM tune in it.
It has the following codes:
P0332 Knock Sensor 2, Bank 2, low input
P0336 CKP Sensor (crank shaft position sensor) Circuit A Range/Performance
We're thinking it's the CKP sensor due to hard starts, etc.
Is it possible that that CKP just needs the correct relearn from dealer after th new PCM install or is it just that the CKP is failing?
What do you all think?

I think it will run even if the CPK has not completed the learn procedure. It sounds like something is still malfuntioning.
Trouble shooting this stuff can be dificult, especially via the internet. I suggest you find someone with a GM service manual and a scanning tool, you would gain quite a bit of insight as to how to go about trouble shooting the car. Good luck.

The service manual will explain how to trouble shoot and scan for more info from the PCM as to the conditions at the time of failure.
FWIW, P0332 refers to the rear KS. It might have failed or maybe it's come loose.
Have you tried a search on here? I bet there's a lot about this stuff.

The dealer should've performed a crank relearn procedure when they replaced the PCM, if they didn't I'd bet that's where some of the rough running /hard starting problem lies
The knock sensor problem may be because of water contamination, causing corrosion on the terminal.
Has the cause for the corrosion @ the PCM terminals been found

So far I have replaced the pcm,the crank shaft sensor and performed a ckp relearn and the car is still not running right. Misses terribly and can't move it misses so bad.
Performed a misfire test for each cylinder, fine there.
Codes that are still being set are p0336,p0327, p0332.
Do the knock sensor wires and crankshaft sensor wires run in the same aeries or are they near each other?
Wire loom that comes up passenger side manifold is fine and intact, nothing melted there.
Any other suggestions?

I have 74K on the car. If it were mechanical I think it would do it all the time and not clear up.
Problem is after I did the ckp relearn it drove fine for 3 miles and than started doing it again.

Did gm just replace the pins at the harness connection to the pcm? Did they cut the wires and reconnect them?
You could have a bad connection at the pcm/harness connection ie. The low volt code for the knock sensor. Knock sensors harness is in the rear of the intake. I think the crank sensor harness also runs around the back of the intake but I’m not 100% sure of that.
