Question Water pump?

I have a 99 TA. The coolant level has dropped. I think the water pump may be going out. I see dried coolant around that area, but I don't see any leaks. Do the water pumps on these cars have a weep hole so you know when it is going out?

Yes, dried coolant (orange grease-like substance) is a sign of coolant leak, either thru weep hole or past the seal.
