Default FAST Intake provisions?

I have a friend with a C5 who just ordered a FAST 90/90 setup, and he's wondering of the new unit comes with the rear provision for the MAP/climate hose/brake booster hose, as seen in this pic:

So, brand new outta the box, does it or have something that will work? Or does he need to do something like I did for my Weiand and run a 5mm bolt and flat washer perpendicular to the sensor to hold it in place?

Thanks

Here's what the back looks like, you'll see the tiny vacuum line over on the right if you look hard enough.

Ummmm, what holds the MAP in place? It looks like from the pic it just "sticks" in there and is held in place with it's own friction?

use a little bit of silicone on the sensor when you stick it in the hole.

Sounds kinda kinky. Does it give a good reach-around?

It doesn't even give you the courtesy of a reach-around!!!!!!!

:/R. Lee Ermy:

I'm going to be swapping mine in on sunday, I'll probably do a writeup. Most people use some silicone, I'm going to try and put zip-ties around it. $750 and you can't even get a MAP clip or port gaskets......

The "ribbed" gasket on the MAP sensor does the job all by itself. You can purchase new ones from GM (the ribbed O-Ring gasket) in the event your original has seen better days....silicone couldn't hurt but its unnecessary with a new gasket.

I shoulda taken a pic of the MAP provision on my Weian intake. There's a 5mm hole right above the sensor bung that I used to thread a bolt and washer in place.

My question, however, what about boosted guys like myself? Would the positive manifold pressure blow the MAP out if it's just stuck in there on the FAST?

This C5 my friend has will be NA, with possibly nitrous at a later date. Will he be alright?

https://ls1tech.com/forums/lsx-parts-sale/435427-fast-90mm-intake.html

I'm thinking about doing something like that for mine, even though it's N/A. If I can get a kit together, I might start selling them.

There's not a whole lot of force acting on that small surface area of the MAP sensor exposed inside the manifold, but I have seen fuel injectors blow out before.

has anyone seen actual performance numbers of the harrop intake yet? Kind of looks like what I want to do on the my vette. Either this or the new wilson manifold that are just coming out with.
