IAT and dyno results...
Hey all.
Does anyone know how much, if any, air intake temperature effects power on the dyno? Additionally, does anyone one have experience with differences, with different temperatures.
For example, I just got my car tuned yesterday. I just added some QTP HVMCs, and I DID have a measurable increase, although, admittedly, I was hoping for more. Regardless, I had the standard QTPs, when tuned before, and the only change was going to the HVMCs. Anyways, when dyno' d with the standard collectors, the air intake temperature was only like 78*. This time, with the HVMCs, the temperatures were near 110*. I understand the cooler the air, the more dense, but, more than anything, I suppose I am just trying to justify the added expense in the HVMCs, and additional labor I invested.
Thanks for your help!
