best shifter for 2/3 shift... pro 5.0???
i went to the track last night and i missed third like 3 out of the 5 times i ran. i finaly got a good one and ran a 13.2. anyways i want to know what the best shifter is for the 2/3 shift. i dont really care about notchyness or noise. ive heard good and bad things about the pro 5.0 but just want some opinions on the 2/3 shift aspect of their shifter. any info would be great thanks

I would get a short stick, I just ordered the WS6 short stick yesterday.
Some people perfer the UMI because it angles towards you, but they complain about hitting their elbow on the console when shifting into 2nd.
Either way, those short sticks don't have the rubber bumper on them, so it's just metal to metal. That way, you know when you are in gear and you know when you aren't; there is no gray area like with the stock stick.

I have been more than happy with my stock Hurst/UMI short stick combo. Alot of missed shifts have to do with hand placement and technique. For the 2-3 shift, I let the shifter rest in the palm of my hand, or the ball of my hand rather, don't grip it, and push straight forward, it will go right in. The stock shifter as already mentioned is not worth .02 compared to a good short stick.

It's not hydraulics on my car. There was a destinct "no mans land" spot between 3rd and 5th on the shifter itself. It's gone now that I replaced it with a Hurst billet plus.
