-1 sec on 0-60 Diablo Predator
I have been getting bored with my car upshifting from 1st to 2nd at the stock 54mph so I changed it to 60mph and did a run with my G tech and usually my 0-60 time is about 5.5 but with the upshift changed to 60mph I got a 4.6 mind you it was bouncing of the rev limiter wich I also reset to 6200rpm and I didnt like the sound of that much the bouncing that is but a full second off my 0-60 thats pretty good isnt it?
Anyway I reduced my upshift to 57mph and it was still to high so I reduced it to 55mph 1 mile over stock and I have got to say the shift between 1st and 2nd feels unbeliveable like a M3 with paddles and the SGS box with tourqe turned right up but the time for the 0-60 came down to 5.3. so how much bouncing on the rev limiter is ok on a LS1 and any suggestions on what i should set it to for my 1/4 mile time get quicker?

Hitting the rev limiter actually slows you down in the 1/4. I run 12.5's with near perfect shifts. But when I hit the limiter that day, I was running 12.6's and 12.7's with nearly identicle 60' times. Don't bounce off of the rev limiter unless you like bent pushrods and broken valvetrain components. Besides, you should leave the MPH settings stock unless you're adjusting for gears. Most people alter shift settings by changing RPM. Just keep in mind, RPM's and MPH's are "gatekeepers" if you will. Both conditions need to be satisfied before an upshift will occur...which is usually a fraction of a second after the trans has got the green light. So, don't set your shift rpm equal to your rev limiter.

Hello speed demon, dont worry after your last few post on my other thread I took your advice and set the rev and shift to 6200 and 6300 like you suggested to avoid problems but do you think the one extra mile I have added to the upshift will be ok because with the 6200 & 6300 it feels great and there is no bouncing just a change right on the edge.
I guess hitting revlimiter is bad in the 1/4 then but not 0-60?

Well.... if your goal is 60mph, and you hit the rev limiter at 60mph, it didn't slow you down because you were already there (duh).
But, a race doesn't end at 60mph.
Hitting the rev limiter slows you down. That's the point of a rev limiter. If you hit the rev limiter before 60mph, it will slow you down.
Increasing your rev limiter might help your 0-60 times (because you don't shift), but may hurt your 1/4 mile times depending on your mods.
