Belt related?

You could remove your main belt and run the car, you could also remove the A/C belt to try and isolate the problem.

Since you have an UD pulley, you may need a new tensioner to stop it from happening.

They are easy to change but cost about $85 from GM..... you need to find out if it is on your main drive belt or ACC drive.

The a/c system has it's own smaller belt with its own idler and tensioner pulley. You can crank the car up, make sure it's doing it, then kill the car, remove the main belt, and see if it stops.

If it stops, you know its the main.

If it keeps doing it, you can remove the a/c belt and repeat. You may also want to run over your idler pulley bolts with a wrench to make sure they are tight. My main belt idler pulley started SCREAMING on the dyno at HPE while getting tuned.

If I was getting a new tensioner, I'd get the Katech one.

It's very easy to change as it's only held on by 2 bolts through the waterpump.

Heh, mine did the same thing on the dyno. It sounded like Unit's car. Perhaps I'll get a new tensioner afterall.
