Super sucker at Quicktime ---->
But speak to Barry, I believe the manufacturer is improving the contruction for better reliability.
I think the two systems are about the same, SLPs is $40 less.

FTRA <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />
Like Ragtop99 said, "proven track gains!" Good for .10 and 2mph (give or take) in the 1/4 mile.
Also, FTRA is totally conceled. On the Super Sucker, you can see the opening right under the bumper. <img border="0" alt="[barf]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_barf.gif" />

I went from !FRA to FTRA and still saw a gain. And the "functional" hood scoops aren't **** compared to the aftermarket ram air kits.

Re: SLP CAI or Fast Toys Ram Air System??
This will be a little off topic from what you have asked for but it may help in the long run.
If you're looking for being able to tell a driving difference after an upgrade, you are going to have to do more than turn a couple of screwdrivers and sockets. If you have the free ram mod plus the functional hood, you're where you need to be on air. Another "easy" mod would be the ls6 intake if you don't already have it OE. Exhaust mods will help some (cat-backs, headers). Sounds like a cam would be right up your alley. Not too hard (time consuming) but definately worth the gains.
I am telling you all of this because I did little piddley things here and there and was never quite satisfied. Get in there and change a cam or heads or do a gear change if you're looking for a better seat of the pants factor, otherwise, be happy with what you've got. You'll end up wasting money and hate yourself for it later if you keep doing little things like this, trust me. Bang for buck, a gear change or a 75 shot are hard pressed to beat.
When I bought my car, I had no idea what a damn cam was! The learning curve is made easy with a board like this, take advantage of it and good luck.
