Default Installing a Predator tune over a non-stock tune

I purchased a 2004 Corvette Coupe a few months ago and I just purchased a Predator tuner so that I could modify the shift firmness and TM. When I read the instructions, it said not to install the performance program if the PCM was not stock. I’m pretty sure the that the current tune is not stock because the differential is a 3.42.

Is it possible to download a stock tune and install it with the predator first then install the performance tune?

Should I not be concerned and install the performance tune anyway?

That should be OK. The issue is primarily with the engine management area of the calibration. Make sure to set the axle ratio manually via the adjustable parameters.

Get the car reflashed, and then load the predator.

I don't know how they handle the tuning, if they actually calculate checksums on the device, or if they know what it "should" be with a stock tune, and put that into the pcm, if you flash it with a non stock tune, you can and possible will get a P0601 error ROM memory failure.
