Post All Intakes Tested

Probably a respost but here is a test performed by TPIS on each intake system combo available for the Ls1/2/6....I found it interesting.

Just curious as to why they never tested the FAST 90 TB.

Because the testing was done by TPIS I would imagine. It looks like the Ls2 throttle body outperformed thiers on the Fast 90 intake. lol

Why is it that every test on the LS1, LS6, Weiand and F.A.S.T. manifolds peaked at 6800 or 7000 rpm. Only the LS2 manifold forced the peak at 6400. Everything I've read about cam selection says that the LS6 and F.A.S.T. are tuned to peak at 6300, and that camming for power above that point is only fighting the intake.

Any thoughts?

what about the TPIS spyder intake...i have speed density... are they saying that it is worth 40 hp over an ls6/75mm setup...

it lost at most 5-7 torque in the lower rpm ranges..negligible if you ask me.

Good question? My car did peak at about 6300 on the chassis dyno with the Ls6 setup....???

couldn't that be due to the limitations of your heads, though?

Aww too bad it wasn't every intake that was tested.
