Default Best cam for Dart 205's?

Wondering what the best cam to go with theese heads (out of the box) would be. I'm looking at maybe MTI R1 or Y1 cam. Anyone run this in a daily driver? Or would something else be better. Maybe a TSP Torquer V2 since its close the the F14 specs. I dont know. I'm exploring my future options and dont want to have to flycut.

Also, it will depend on what you want to do with the car. I think you are wanting a street car with strip performance when needed judging by some of the cams you are throwing around already. I vote wait till the MS4 comes out and guinea pig it!

I want a cam that will run good at the track, but still be ok to drive the 80-90 miles to Houston and around town every now and then.

I was thinking maybe a MS3 also, didnt know MS4 was around.

When ever you have a cam with duration on the high side of 230* you need to make sure you have good piston to vavle clearance when you change out the stock heads..are the darts milled at all??.... what is the valve drop on those heads??..

Careful of lift too, I am not familiar with those cams but the Dart springs are shimmed as delivered. There is another thread with all the information. My cam is small, VHP 056 with 216/224 .551/.551 and LSA115 and it works great with these heads. Good idle, mileage went up and is screams

I have the 067 vinci cam (same as sdpc and crane) and p2v was very tight. It has lazy lobes though in comparison to some. I coulnt run 1.8 rockers.
Valve drop is less than in stock heads. So be prepared to flycut.
Having said that mine runs well too.
