Default What sealant on coolant temp sensor?

The service manual says "P/N 12346004 or equivalent",and 12346004 is GM Pipe Sealant, with Teflon. I asked at the parts store, and they said to use anti-seize. Is that right? If not, what should I use?

Thanks.

Use pipe sealant with teflon, the liquid, not the tape you can get that at your local hardware or auto parts store
The anti sieze won't seal and you'll have a coolant leak

I used the teflon tape with good results. Ive also used permatex thread sealer, not sure if it contains teflon though.

The GM pipe sealant was $21 for 0.5 ounces. Permatex pipe sealant with teflon was only $5 for 4 ounces. I went the cheap way, I'll post again to this thread if it leaks.

Thanks,
Miles
