Magnacharged C6 Vette Track Results
I finally made a visit to HRP tonight to try out the new setup on the 2005 Corvette, consisting of a Magnacharger at 5 psi boost, 230/230 114 cam, and LG longtube headers with a Magnaflow catback. The car is a Z51 coupe, 6-speed manual. Raceweight was 3500 lbs even, temps 88F outside. The car was on 17" drag radials. Granny shifting to keep the rearend in one piece.
Best ET was 11.37 @ 126.7 with a 1.84 60'
Best MPH was 11.47 @ 129.5 with a 1.95 70'
The higher MPH pass was done after letting the car cool down for an hour. The best ET pass was just a better launch. Too bad I couldn't get the combo on the same pass. The car ran 103 mph in the 1/8-mile on the 11.47 pass. Ran two more hot laps and didn't improve any.
I didn't manage to escape the track without breaking something though. Put a nice hairline crack about 6 inches long on the back of my differential housing, causing some pretty bad oil leakage. I managed to drive the car home 25 miles though, and will diagnose any further damage tomorrow. Hopefully its just the housing and nothing else.
But hey, thats racing! Had a great time anyways.

Nice times sorry to here about the diff though. I dont know if you've seen the latest motortrend with the LPE twin'd C6 vette. But it literally left half the differential at the starting line....

Get the DTE Brace if and when you get the new rearend. That will absorb a lot of the stress that high torque motors like yours places on the casing/housing of the trans and diff. when you shift hard at high rpms. For 400.00 you can save several grand. Good luck. Hope it works out for ya. I got the brace, and have had no issues as of yet.

little fyi. install a small 30-35 dry n20 shot with the maggy, it really helps with the cooling effects.
i was consistently getting 11.02-11.09's at 121-123. consistent.
installed 30shot (2x .020jets) and my iats dropped tremendously. it countered the heat and humidity here in tx. now running mid to hi 10's, consistent.
best to date has been 1/8th 6.81 at 101.8, 1/4 10.66 at 128.51. 1.55 60ft.
my ride does produce some decent short times average 1.50-1.60. 17in mt et drs, rpm a4, yank 2800st.
just fyi, FWIW good luck on the repairs
