For those of you who have changed your thermostat which one is better, the 160 or 180 and also what temp did you program your fans to come on. tia...

I modded my stat to open at 160* and used a thermostatic fan switch that comes on at 175*.
Cost me right at $20 for both mods combined.
A general rule of thumb:
Your engine will run about 15* more than what your stat opens at.
My car runs a consistent 175*, which is perfect for our cars IMO.

I prefer a 180 stat. That is keeping my motor between 192-196 depending on outside temp. I have custom fan settings.
