Default headlight keeps burning out

the driver side headlight keeps burning out, i think ive changed it at least 4 times in the past year, and havent had to change the passenger side at all since i got the car 2 years ago, the bulbs dont look to be 'black or dark' like most bulbs look when there burnt out, i got some stuff to put on the connectors last time i replaced it but it didnt really help at all, anyone else have this problem or know what i can do, just irritating to have to keep replacing it every few months

I don't know if the LS1 TA lamps are the same as 93-97 Camaros, but I had an awful problem with that, just like you. I finally grabbed Camaro 98-02 bulbs (that go in plastic lenses/housing) and modified my existing 93-97 headlights (which are glass headlight assemblies) by removing the existing plugs and epoxiied the later style. I never had a problem after that. A good 2-3 years I think.

Is water getting into that light? That may cause premature bulb failure. Just a thought.
