Default Throttle Cable Tension?????

Just finished installing my TB after polishing and doing the bump stop mod. When I checked the bump stop in the shop, it worked great and the plate was at 90 degrees(fully open). However, there seems to be some slack in the throttle cable and this will not allow the plate to open all the way when the pedal is to the floor. Obviously not taking advantage of the bump stop mod. Is there any way to adjust the tension to take up the slack or make the throttle cable pull further to open up the throttle plate all the way????

Default Re: Throttle Cable Tension?????

Yes, there sure is. It's somewhat difficult to explain though. There is a little black "connector" midway up the throttle cable. The top of it pops off and you can tighten it. The piece that comes off is threaded. Replace that piece and it will hold the cable in place.

BTW, I did this about a year ago so I'm going strictly off memory.
