Default Coolant Problem

Didn't know where to post this. Thought it might be a thermostat issue so i posted here. My car isn't overheating but it runs out of the overflow reservoir when you turn it off. Thanks for any input.

What do you mean it runs out of the overflow res, like it overflows, or it empties the res. An easy way to tell, cause I just flushed my sys, when the car is cold, take the radiator cap off and see if it is full. There might be an air pocket in your system and that is why the res empties when the car is off.
