Bad Vibration!

Bad Vibration!
Hey guys, I got my new 383 up and running and what not, but now I notice a horrible vibration and it gets worse with higher RPM's. When my engine was orginally balance the machine shop balanced it with a new flexplate that they remove the weights off of because they said the motor was now internally balanced. Turns out that the new flexplate is the wrong one, it was too big. So we were forced to use the stock flexplate that is weighted. Could It be the stock flexplate causing this horrible vibration?

if he said it the new engine was internally balanced then get a flexplate without weights on it. then you should be right as rain, as long as he has the sucker balanced correctly.

Ok earlier today I had to move the car in the driveway to get my beater car out and I not entirely sure but I think I could hear something knocking. the sound was really faint. I check oil pressure and it seems to be just fine. Yesterday I was kinda force to change my oil cuz the little pug just above the drain pug on the LT1 Canton race pan was leaking so I put thread sealer on it. when the oil came out, It came out like new oil, no metal or anything. It only makes that faint noise at idle when its loping. Im going to run the car anymore until I get my new flexplate that my engine machinist ordered. The motor already has about 35 miles on it. what do you guys think. will it be Ok once I put the new balanced flexplate on it?

Dude just take off the weight. I took the one off my fly wheel and no more vibration. The dude that built my engine told me to do it, SPEC also told me to do it since my engine was internally balanced

I got the new flexplate in there, the right one! and the vibration is gone. Also I took the car past the machine shop and he said he couldnt hear the motor knocking but I should be running 20w50 race weight oil. But earlier today I took the car out for alittle test spin and it felt like it had no power. It also wont Idle. The guy at the machines shop said that the its because the engine is missin, sounds like its on 6 cylinders. He thinks its burn plug wires, well I just got my new over the valve cover wires in today that I will be putting on tomorrow and changing out the oil to 20w50. think that will take care of the miss?
