You need to weld them in with the orp in place. Make sure they use a chop saw to make the cuts not a torch.

TaTommyWS6: Please let me know how it turns out, because I am thinking about doing the same thing when I get my MAC's. I've heard that their cats are not great, and I will probably be putting Random Tech's in the y-pipe. Let me know how it works out, so I'll know what to do. Thanks. <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />

30TH_TA,
Will do! The Mac ORP actually comes with the post cat O2 sensor bungs already installed. Hopefully it will not be too hard to do.
I ordered a pair of CarSound 94106 cats. They are 2.5 inch in and out. They will slip OVER the 2.5 ORP. They cats are very small so it should fit ok.

I'm waiting for a "warm" day to actually install this stuff, but it has been a sucky winter in NY....

Default Best way to weld cats onto ORP?

I have a pair of carsound cats I am going to weld into my MAC ORP.

Is there a best way to do this to get a proper fit?

Should I measure with it on the car, then remove it and weld? OR should I weld it with the pipe on the car?

Thanks.
