Injector size calculator
For a stock LS1 engine it would be
8 number of injectors
.5 BSFC for a N/A motor, some go with .45 or .40
.8 duty cycle not to exceed 80%
325 motor HP (dyno yours or have a good estimate)
"Calculate" the injector size. Click the button. This gives 25.5 for a stock Ls1 which explains why they had 26 and 28 pound injectors. Some calculators also add in the fuel pressure which is a little higher than standard. You will need to know all this info and always round up on injector size. Supposedly the SVO 30# flow about 36# with the standard LS1 fuel pressure. You may have an aftermarket fuel pump, ect, that you will need to take into account. I'd guess the SVO30# would work for you but you'll have to wideband dyno the car after install and make sure you don't max out the injectors at WOT. As long as you are running N/A I'd guess that would be the right size for you.

Re: what size injectors to use? id agree that FMS/SVO 30# are all you should need for the larger displacement but if you go anything beyond your current set-up as far as a power adder you would have to look at some Lucas 40# at least. what is your current fuel pump? any thoughts of putting a bottle on it? what do you want out of your fuel system? all questions to ask in determining injector size. i would be careful in putting on too much as to flood the engine. start small and if you have access to an OBDII scan tool then you can check A/F ratios and see if you are pulling any knock.

Re: what size injectors to use? I have a oo with StageII h/hammer cam, no spray. I have the stock injectors. Everything seems fine, but am I leaving any legidimate HP on the table with stockers???

Re: what size injectors to use? I'd consider running some SVO 36's or equivalents, I think that SVO 30's would be in the small side and might get maxed out. I ran some 39's.

Re: what size injectors to use? I'll have to agree with LS1290...Unless you plan on sprayin' the dog sh** out of it with a dry kit. Then maybe some larger ones with a good external pump. Just depends on what power adders you may plan on if any. 30# SVO's are what I've been running for over a year and everything is just fine...

Re: what size injectors to use? Thanks For all the help. I have a walbro 340 pump and I run about 61#'s of pressure at idle and with a nx 2 stage it runs around 55 to 54#'s. Does anynone know what pressure a svo or other injector are rated at. What I mean is like stated earlier a svo 30# injector is like 36#'s on a ls1 with stock fuel pressure. I went to the calculator and it varied alot just changing the horse power by 25hp.

They are bosch/Denso 36lb one that have about 10,000 miles on them for 225 shipped.

Re: what size injectors to use? So if a svo injector is rated at 39 to 43 psi they will flow more in a ls1 with the fuel pressure at 55 to 60 psi. Are there any injectors rated at 55 psi?
