My 2 cents on my bolt-on's so far
I'm posting this to see if anyone else has experience my joy of bolt on's.
1: MTI lid and K&N filter, and descreened MAF=easy bolt on, nice response gains.
2: Pro 5.0 shifter=easy install and a huge difference from the stock shifter.
3: SLP 85mm MAF=easy install, lack luster performance gain.
4: SLP loudmouth & y-pipe=decent install, it was harder getting the stock system off and a good performance gain.
5: FTRA=terrible fit & install, but i could notice a power gain.
Keep in mind all of these installs were done in my garage with a jack & jack stands. I found out there are two tools I need to add: a saw-zall(sp) and an air compressor.

no et's yet. waiting for it to get warm again. with the mti lid, k&n, and descreened maf, i dynoed 309hp & 325 ft-lbs. that was with 3500 miles on the car. im hoping to get around 330rwhp with my current set-up. ive been told that's good for 12.8's all day if i can drive.

Justin, I'm sure everyone on this site has some experience in the joy of bolt ons <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> I've done your #1 step exaclty, as well as the free ram air mod, TB bypass, and SLP air temp. module. I plan on porting and polishing my stock MAF within the next couple of days. You didn't like the SLP MAF? I looked at everything from the GMS to the SLP to the MAF ends, but I decided just to go w/the stock unit and see what I could do with it. What kind of ET's have you gotten out of your work? My best so far is a 13.49 @ 104.8 MPH (2001 Trans Am A4)
