Default Bolting your headers to a custom Y-pipe / X-pipe?

I was told I need two 3" band clamps, one for each header,so i can bolt my headers to my x-pipe.And my x-pipe is 2.5" and the header collector is 3".

So i bought a 3"- 2.5" reducer, and it don't work. The reducer slips right over the collector. And the band clamp is a butt up design. So how are you guys doing this? I need a reducer that is 3" outside diameter to a 2.5".

Where can i get this type of reducer?I checked both jegs and summit, and all they have is 3" inside diameter for the slip on collector.

thanks
