Best price on a new Slave cylinder?
My current slave has about 20K miles on it. I'm going to be pulling the tranny next weekend and was thinking maybe I should go ahead and swap out the slave while I'm in there.
So my questions are what do you guys think is a safe lifespan on the slave?
Also assuming I want to get a new one, who has the best price?
Thanks for any help, even if you only have input on one of my questions.
Mike

I say swap it out along with the pilot while yer in there. Mine was working fine the last time I was in there with just about 20 k on it, so I didnt change it. Shortly after that it started humming with clutch pedal released. Still works fine, but I'm going to be changing it out soon as with the the new s60 w/4.10s and nittos I'm a little worried..
As far as price, my local dealer matches fred beans prices, which are about the best I've seen.

I bought my from GMPartsDirect a while back and I thought I paid $92 or something like that. FWIW - If you have a '01 or '02 I'd re-use it. It should last a lot longer--probably longer than the clutch you're about to install.
