Default Who's running 3.5" header collectors... Beeler... Beeler

I'd like to hear how the ground clearance is and what you uses to finish out the exhaust.

I might run 1&7/8 headers with 3.5" collectors for my supercharger project.

My personal experience is that 3" dual exhaust can be done, but the only car I ever saw with 3.5" was Agent Argent and the ground clearance back then was tight.

I will put stock front springs in front to raise up the front of the car regardless.

I'm thinking 3.5" x-pipe but ground clearance might be crappy. My car does sit on 28" slicks most of the time so that helps raise the car up.

Maybe I'll run some Baja Claw radials.

I would modify your headers from the collector on back. When I built my headers with 3-1/2" merge collectors I have more ground clearance than the stock exhaust now and my car is lowered 2". Never a clearance issue. Of course I also cheated and actually ran my 3.5" headpipe going to the "X" over the crossmember rather than under it from additional protection. You can see by these two pic's how high the exhaust sits

Works like a charm!

HAH, Sorry John, I just saw the post. I have about 3" of ground clearance but my car is lowered pretty good. I rarely have a problem though. I go over the speed bumps here at my apartment and don't hit them. I can even put the car on a trailor without them hitting. I am going to raise the car up about another inch because I don't really like it that low. the air dam is what always hits things.

Oh yeah, there is NO ground clearance problem with the 3.5" collectors. I was referring to the 3.5" cutouts. The collectors sit just as high as stock did, like John B mentioned.
