Default gaskets

How do you guys feel about reusing oem head gaskets for a head swap?

2K miles on the gaskets. Figured it may be good to save some money....

Stock gaskets are only $25 bucks from the dealer. Never reuse a gasket unless they are intended for that purpose, and stockers aren't. Once there crushed, there done.

So they are one time use? $50 is a decent chunk of change. (a night out)...

So i figured if i could save a few bucks....


Anyone know the cheapest place to buy cometics?

$25 is for the pair. So you still have $25 for beer. Cometics will run you close to $200 bucks about anywere you get them. Haven't seen to many people with deals on them. Not to mention the risk of leaks. I had bad luck with cometics.

Where are you buying them for $25 a pair?

GMPARTSDIRECT has them for $25 each...

Are you wanting the graphite or the MLS? I believe the MLS's were the cheap ones, although the graphites weren't expensive either. www.sdpc2000.com is probablly going to be the best place.
