Steering shaft problem with BMR K-member
Installed a BMR K-member today and now the steering shaft is 1/4" to short at the column <img border="0" title="" alt="[Mad]" src="gr_images/icons/mad.gif" /> I've heard of this problem before and wondered what the fix was.
I was thinking of bringing the shaft to a weld shop and have them extend it 1/2" that will give me play again.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Re: Steering shaft problem with BMR K-member
I've been hearing this too much lately. I'm worried about my kmember being like this now. I've heard to either get the steering shaft extended or BMR will send you another unit out but that's a hassle.

They are sending me a new one ASAP <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> Great service <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />
I forget who I bought it from <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" /> Got it almost 2 months ago from a GP.
A easy way to tell is to go to BMR's website and they have an installed picture.Look at the steering mounting points.Mine was alot lower than the picture.
