Default Do you think this is worth 5 tenths?

I'm trying to go 10.99 or better before I spray. The car has gone 11.5 since then the changes are
K-member and lower control arms
swapped SLP LT headers for stepped 1"&3/4 to 1" 7/8 kooks
swapped firehawk catback for a lanes 3" x-pipe to dual bullets
swapped LS6 intake for a Mamo ported 90 fast with rails and racetronics pump and injectors
swapped BBK 80mm TB for a NW 90
swapped 26" slicks for a set of 28" slicks(ET drags)
swapped factory rims for alumni stars front and back
swapped 4.10 gears for a set of 4.30's
swapped eaton posi for a spool
thats about all the changes I can remember, the car is still a heavy 3,500 lbs.
I can still pull the power steering stuff and all the a/c stuff but I think I'll leave it be for now to see what it does. I also have a TNT power ring on it but I want to see if I can go 10's before I spray the 150 shot. So what do you guys think?

You have a shot at it but I don't feel those mods are enough to shave off a 1/2 second at that level.

What was your 60' before? I am sure with the weight and mods you stand a good chance.

id say you have a good shot, i picked up a good tenth and a half swaping to my fast intake, bigger slicks and the spool will help you get out the hole, the weight savings will transfer your weight better and also be lighter overall and the rims are worth a good bit as well, i think it can be done

You should also try retuning with the new mods ...I'm sure there is a few HP in the tune.

well I guess I'll find out on sat. The track that I ran 11.5 has bad elavation and is usually a tenth slower than the track I'm going to and 2 tenths slower than Atco NJ because they are so close to sea level. Only down fall is the track with the 2 tenth advantage is 3 hours away one way. So if it doesn't do it I may have to take a road trip.

I'd say the chances are good. Hva you redyno'ed teh car after the changes that effect the power? what kind of gains did it have over where the car was when you ran the 11.5? Also, what kind of total weight savigns did you net from the 11/5 run to now? With the rear changes you have made, you should be able to 60 foot alot better, even with the same power/weight as before, the added power and weight loss will only make the cause that much more achievable.

Good luck, let us know how it goes!

That 11.5 was in the winter. I lost 3mph and 2 1/2 10ths with the summer air added the FAST 90 and now I run it in the summer. Good luck

Ya pull the seats and belts, spare and jack, carpet and padding, speakers, ac, p/s, front swaybar, light battery in the back, washer resevoir and anything else not necessary. You can always put everything back in except the carpet. Have fun
