ridiculously low times. cars are tiny and awd. he has to have a bunch of crap done in order to get 500 to the wheels. race him from like a 100mph roll. dig or low roll youll get stomped!

lol, 100 mph roll. they are heavy cars for their size, but 500 hp if formidable. hit up some dsm sites and look for cool guys to chat with. someone will let you know what to expect.

Well, seeings as you dont have anywhere near 500HP with the mods in your sig, its a safe bet that he's going to hand you your ***.

If there's more than a 150HP difference between two cars, you dont have a chance of beating it unless you're either on a motorcycle or he's the worst driver on earth.

lol i didnt ask if i could win........ i was just curious what potentially he could run. and it would be all to easy to beat him with mods. i have 10grand i can spend on mods right now if i wished. but their are more important things to work on.

FWD or AWD? What is the question of this thread? Where is the kill?

Oh, and a 500 whp DSM will run a 6.234 through the 1/8th. Every single time.

Well we need to know more about the car really. It depends on if its a first or second gen and if its AWD or FWD. First gen's are a bit lighter and actually have more potential to be fast. A first gen with AWD, 500whp, and someone that can drive will go 10's.

6.234? How'd you come up with that? Thats a mid 9sec pass!

It's because of another thread going on here where someone is talking about how inconsistent AWD cars are at the track. That's why he added, "every single time."

Yeah, that and there is no way to possible guess a time on a car when it could weigh 2200 lbs. or 3400 lbs, be AWD or FWD, could be a drag car or a street car, street tires or slicks, etc. Oh, and the 6.234 was a joke.

A fwd dsm? What would be the point in that? Anyway, like everyone else has said, if it truly has 500awhp, and he can drive, you should be very worried.

I know the 6.234 was a joke. I got a good laugh out of you predicting its time down to 3 decimal points and then when you added "every single time" it was just icing on the cake. Not really a smart assed comment and it got your point across about the lack of info to properly asnwer the question at hand.

Had a few of these threads lately. Yes they are awd and fwd. The fwd are lighter were around 2700 pounds have one of those. The awd were around 3100 not super light but still weigh around a z06 weight so don't see them as that heavy.

Awd will destroy you off the line if you don't have drag tires like nittos or et streets on your car. Top end with a high hp dsm would still be pretty good. I got my near stock fwd to go 140mph and the car was not even tuned up yet.

And I know a bit about big hp dsms since my current one is nearly finished and has 650 plus engine hp potential ,actually same turbo was dynoed 620whp off spray.
Think car had similar mods to mine.

I expect to be easily at the 500 engine hp point on pump gas and mabye even 575 engine hp with water/alco injection. To get to 650 engine hp or so pretty much have to run race gas.

This car should easily be running low11s on street tires if not 10s.If its fwd it will be way slower if not on drag tires. The fwd are not easy to launch on street tires.

Here is a pic of my nearly finished and running 2.4 litre yes not a misprint they come stock with 2 litres. Turbo is Forced performance FP3065 they have gone nines in lightened cars and near 140mph off nitrous. Engine fully built of course to handle the power, set up for direct port nitrous at a later date.

fast dsm's are usually nothing to worry about. 99% of the time they will either break, break up (improper tuning), or will not be driven properly. dsm's are NOT easy to shift, no matter what transmission you are running.

this is coming from somebody who still frequents dsm sites and mostly hangs out with dsm guys. most of them are very inconsistent too. one day it'll run like a raped ape the next day it just breaks up under boost for almost no reason . i had 2 of them and i'll never build another one for the inconsistency reason. i LOVED that car when it ran correctly but most of the time it wouldn't.

First of all, are you sure its a 500 hp DSM? I mean, I've encountered plenty of 350 fwhp civics, 375 hp STI and this dude who claims he had a 12 sec DSM. Turns out all these guys did was run their mouth and bite their tongue once I walked on them. Now if its a genuine 500hp DSM, why even bother?

Not to nitpick, but 12s in a DSM (or fbod) isnt terribly difficult. Well, not if you can drive and have a modicum of understanding of how a car works.
