Default Cam only

Is it possible to trap 118 with a full weight cam only camaro? If so what cams should i look at. Something like a MS4 or maybe the torquer V.2? Something along either of those?

I'm having a hard time doing it with the MS3. I am quite literally full weight with a 9" and jack and spare still in place, 17" ZR1s still in place. I haven't gotten the car on a scale yet, unfortunately.

My best trap so far is ~114.

I trapped 113.6, with mods in my sig and FULL weight minus the jack/spare (1.9 short). You need a tune.

you either 60' a 3.0 have some other problem or are shifting sloooooooooooooooooow, my bolton 6speed traped 113 @3650lbs putting 340's to the wheels, you should be well over that

The car has been tuned twice, by 2 different tuners. It's dead on at this point.

1.8 60' - not shifting slow, but probably not the fastest ever. No other problems that I know of?

7.89 @ 90...
12.2 @ 113...

That thing must weigh 4000lbs or something. What type of DA you get?

I need to get it on the scales - it is full weight to the tee, with jack & spare in place, a HEAVY 9", and my ~265lb ***.

DA is 2000+ here in hot, humid NC this time of year. The passes were made Friday night.

Is there anything else I should check? I didn't realize my MPH was so shitty...

Time to go on a diet I guess.

Your torque seems kind of low and your car is heavy so that explains a lot.

yea, i noticed that, i thought that a cam that big would have made a bit more hp and torque, my torque is good bit lower than my hp so that dont look like a problem but overall i thought both numbers would be another 20hp 20tq higher

and a full weight camaro with a 9" and a 265lb big guy would probably weigh in close to 3900lbs range

but just for refference my run with headers, ory, borla, lid, 12bolt with 4.10's and 245nittos

1.74 60'
12.32 @113.xx
340's to the tires 350 tq 3650lbs @ the 2003 thunder shootout da was around +1200 or so iirc

Take some excess weight off, run at the track when it's closer to 50 degrees. Are you powershifting any gears? Shifting really fast can pick up some mph. Do you know you're really at 6800+ rpm on every shift?

My best trap is 112.75 (untuned) with mods in sig, I would think I could hit 115 mph with an LS6 intake, ported tb, and a tune. When I put a cam along with some other stuff, my goal is to hit 120.

I wasn't full weight (3275 raceweight) but I trapped 126 and ran 10.85 with the TSP MS3 and full boltons.

My shop managers car is a TTP V3 cam only car...3702lbs with driver, and a crap exhaust and headers, and he traps 118.

Have another cam only car with stock ls6 heads, fast lsx intake 90mm.. traps 122.8mph full weight with rollbar.
