Default If I do not hook up the AIR system (on race style headers) will it trip a code?

I am planning on getting some QTP stainless race headers, without provisions for the AIR system. If I just do not hook the tubes back up, what will happen? Will the system just blow air out the tubes or will the computer know that they are no longer connected to the manifolds?

Reason I say this is because I will not be getting programming. I already have the 02 simms, but just want to know about the AIR system.

thanks <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

I believe it will trip a code, but ls1 edit can take care of that.

You will throw a code. Thats the same thing I did in my car. It does not effect the performance, you just have to stare at the light.

I will NOT have cats (ORY). So you are saying that the air pump thingy will throw a code just because it isnt hooked up? dammit. Won't it just blow out air?

Is there any way I can fool the air system electronics with a resistor???

I went through this just recently after my header install. Had to have it tuned out by MTI.
