Default 305/35/18 Nitto Vs 335/30/18 BFG KDW2

Im looking at getting nitto 555 rII for a 18x11 or 18x10.5 wheel. I could go with a BFG KDW2 335/30/18 or a 305/35/18 Nitto 555 RII. I dont want just the 555R becasue I want to be able to corner still. How much of traction difference do you think there is? Im guessing quite large since the compund is much softer on the nitto. Basically I want the stickiest street tire for straightlines that will still allows me to corner aggressively and be able to DD it.

i think you need a 12" wide wheel for a 335, you should check with nitto.

Ya I can add 2" to mine to make 11.5" wheels which is enough for 335/30/18 BFG KDW2.

You can put a 335 on a 11.5 but it's going buldge bad. You need a 12 or 13 wide wheel.

335s will not bulge bad at all on 11s. As a matter of fact I've got 315/30-18s on my 18x10s and they work great. However, in true road race style you want ZERO bulge because in corners the tires are going to shift and if you have bulge...guess what, you'll have some nasty shifting going on outside of your suspension. Its all in what you want.

Is that safe? I'm sure the tire manufacturer wouldn't recommend a 335 on a 10.5 wide. even the wheel manufacturer would recommend a smaller size. You should probably have a 305 or a 315 dude...

that 1/2" does really make a difference, so be careful.
