LS1 throttle enhancer
Anyone have a link to the Chevy High Performance do-it-yourself tb enhancer article. I see a kit for 20 bucks, but would like to read the srticle first.

Re: LS1 throttle enhancer
If you are talking about the article where it tricks the sensor into going int WOT earlier I do not think that is worth doing. Just press down the gas more if you want more power. The enhancement showed power gains over part throttle acceleration because it thought the car was under more load that it was, giving it more timing.

The "throttle enhancer" actually was for the LS1... It's function was to intercept the signal from the throttle position sensor to trick the PCM into thinking it was at WOT when it opened at least 80% (or something to that effect). Exactly, then whats the purpose of the tb bump stop mod. I would think it would be the same only better, b/c you dont have to mess around.
Oh the kit is at lmperformance------------>
I want to get it, but I need the article so I can make the thing.

Re: LS1 throttle enhancer
guys from what im hearing this has nothing to do with the bump stop mod. all this does is makes your throttle body go to the 80 or so degrees that it normally would.. just faster. it wont open your tb up to 90 degrees so it wouldnt give you any better 1/4 times or anything it just tricks the car into thinking your pushing the pedal farther than you really are.

No, it doesn't make the throttle open faster or anything like that. There are two timing tables for these motors. One is for part throttle and then when the TPS moves past 70% or 80% a more aggresive timing table is implemented. This kit fools the PCM into using the most aggresive timing table at what ever TPS setting you choose. You could therefore have the most aggresive timing table at say 20% throttle opening. IT will not make any more power or lower your ET at the strip. It will just make the car lunge more when you tip into the throttle from a roll.
