Default Best catback with QTP LT's and catted-Y

Currently I have an SLP 2OTL (2 on the left) but am considering changing it up. I have considered the Loudmouth and Loudmouth II systems. I don't want to spend a great deal of money and want something that is loud, but also has a nice tone. Should I stick with the 2OTL or get something new, and if so, what should I get?

The headers don't matter on the catback. Just get magnaflow or hooker. People here like them.

I love my magnaflow w/ pacesetter LTs.

I can't afford the GMMG :-(. Will the LoudMouth II sound good w/ the LT's and catted-y? I know it will be loud but will it have a nice tone? Anybody else have this setup on a stock cam LS1?

I've heard that the 2otl flows well, so stay with it and get a cutout (for when you want it louder).

The most bang for the buck catbacks are Hooker and Magnaflow, but if you're looking for loud, then neither would be for you (unless you get rid of your cats).

Other than that, SLP loudmouth would be your best bet.

thanks, ya I did hear the same about the 2OTL. If the LM II flows better I'll go with it. I'm looking more at performance over sound too.

Don't get caught up in the catback performance argument though. Anything should be good besides the 80 series Flowmaster. Look at sound/appearance as your main consideration.

LMII will flow better than 2otl.

I had LT's, no cats, and loudmouth 1 for a while and I didn't like it. It was more about not liking the rasp then it being too loud.

I've heard that cats will change it a lot, but I've never heard that set-up in person.

As for what catback you should go with; I vote magnaflow.

Along with the Kooks, I don't have it installed it yet, but I'm sure it'll keep your image clean by not making you look like a punk-*** attention getter. I'm talking about the SLP Dual Dual. No rasp and not loud.

Has anybody heard the LM II w/ LT's and a catted-y? I haven't been able to find anyone else on the board yet with that setup. I like being different with my car, and if it flows well, sounds mean, and not too too many people have it, I'm all for it.

I have a LM 1 with qtp's and the catted Y. My car will be at eastside probably end of this month for a motor swap... when you hear how loud it is, you will probably think twice about changing the muffler you have on your car now. I'd leave the 2otl, and if you don't like it because of the looks, I have seen somewhere a pic of a car that had that on it, but the owner cut the out pipes off and put turndowns on it, so there was no more pipes visable.... I'd do that before spending $ on a LM. Hell, I'll probably be taking mine off my car and putting somethign that's alot more quiet on just to stay out of trouble... the stock ws6 catback, and a 4 inch cutout right at the end of the Y pipe at this point is seeming like the route I'll take. As quiet as possible, and as loud as possible, all on one package.

thanks JL, you always come through haha. I know the LM is loud, but will the LM II be quieter since it has a muffler instead of resonator? Also, will it be less droning and raspy?
