can i "bend" my NGK's from .06 to .05?
Got NGK tr55's iridiums and they came with .06 gap, can I just carefully push the tip down slightly down to .050 and measure with a digital caliper? I've searched and .050 seems to be the way to go for heads/cam setup...

Gapping platnium or iridium plugs is always risky. Your best bet is to gently push down on the plug and use a quality feeler gauge to check the gap. just be very carful not to force the gauge otherwise you will knock off the tip.

Not to hijack the thread or anything, but I'm on my 2nd set of TR-55 coppers and this latest set came with a gap of .055? The last set had a .060" gap as measured by the same gapping tool, and I ended up going to .055. Needless to say, I didn't bother changing the gap on these new plugs...
