Default Flaming River kill switch... which way is on and off?

I'm in the process of mounting the switch but I don't know which way is off. I know per NHRA it has to push for off but how do you tell? The only difference I can tell is that when I flip the switch one way the stud that the lever is connected to goes down into the kill switch. And if I flip it the other way the stud comes farther out. So what's on and what's off? Thanks. -Mark

hook a muliti meter up to it on the 2 studs, set the meter on ohms and when the switch is open the resistence will be infinite, when its closed it will have a little to no resistence draw.. hope that makes sense to you...

Jay, thanks. I didn't even think of using an ohm tester. You da man! I'll try it when I get home from work. -Mark
