Default 396 LT4 Exhaust note?? Anyone?

Hey guys,
I am getting anxious on hearing my beast breathe. I was wondering if any of you 396 guys have any exhaust notes. I can't find any on the net.

Thanks for the kind words, I appreciate it. Yes it should sound very nice due to the Twin Turbo setup that will be on it...damned expensive builds lol

go to LS1sounds.com in the custom section...there is a 396 lt1 through a boomtube exhuast, but it still sounds freakin mean.

Well as it sits right now I have $6K in the short block, with machinging, rotating assy, and blueprinting and balancing. Then I have a new LT4 Intake $300, AFR 220 Heads $1500, Custom Grind Billet Cam, and portwork on the intake and heads from Lloyd Elliot is gonna run me $2800 plus misc top end and valvetrain, then I will run Bob Bailey's LTCC LS1 Coil Over Plug setup, with MSD Coils, Edelbrock Headers, AS&M Monoblade, and then GMR's gonna do the Twin Turbo kit, so it'll be a pretty penny prob close to $20 grand all said an done on just the engine side of things. Let alone with the whole bumper to bumper build...

Dude, i'm interested in the same thing. My 396 LT4 is suppose to be starting up tomorrow, and i'm hoping to have some video of it. My build is kinda around that, but without the TT's. I've got at least 9k into engine and exhaust work, the engine cost 13k to build and I got it for a steal of 6500. I've also got another 6-7k in suspesion, rear end, and tranny work. I'm into my project 17k so far, and hopefully it pans out.

The sound of a NA 396 will sound nothing like a TT. The turbos lower the sound quite a bit, but also add the whistle!
