how to fix banging?

Default how to fix banging?

just got my car back and it sounds awesome, but when i pin it either the y pipe or the drivers side header is banging the floorboard, im really not sure which one it is. is this common? and how can i fix this?

Mine used to do the same thing, lol .it naturally fixed itself..

Yes it's common. Adjustment of the Y pipe may help but you need:

-poly motor omunts
-poly tranny mounts
-Mufflex Y pipe hanger

All are pretty cheap and available from Thunder Racing. Although it's a shame you didn't do the mounts when you had the exhaust off.

what i did was wrapped some transmission cooler hose around the full diameter of the pipe where the pipes are touching any floor boards or metal or whatever. then i took a tie strap and slid it through the trans. hose and tightened the tie strap. i did this on 5 places. works great

same prob here... i used header wrap and put it around the bangin spot then took a couple of worm gear clamps to secure it... no probs whatsoever since....
