I was at the all Harley drags last weekend, they have some heavy equipment working on the right side of the entrance road. I asked a guy he told me that was part of the new track, for what its worth, we've been told that for alot of years.

Old news. The proformanceracing has had the plans on the wall for some time and I have been telling everyone its coming. The gravel pit on the right as you enter is supplying gravel for SeaTac. That is paying off the property and for the upgrades. The roadcourse will be revised at turn 1 and completely repaved. New grandstands will be up for this years NHRA event. A shifter cart track will be located where the gravel pit is and a 1/4mi dirt track where all the trees and parking are. Parking will be moved to the other side of the entrance road and new amenities added. It will be nice and they hope to lure big name road racing back to the PNW.

You have mentioned it a couple of times, talked to my cousin and had no idea he was part of the project planning (ok, so we are *distant* cousins).
He says the new track will be far better for all events, he spent 27 years as the Alfa director and has run just about everything out there possible aside from super stock.
We are planning a gt and 'ride' on his Hayabusa "yeah, it should be interesting when we take off our helmets and everyone sees we are OLD" though he said last years 4,700 mile trip was a blast.
Hope he will show me the plans - it sounds very interesting about about damn time.

I have a tendency to wonder if the whole NASCAR thing got them into gear - using the land they have had since the first purchase.
Who knows. As long as it gets done then its all good.
