Reset computer, how long will it run bad?
I bored out my TB last night and did the by-pass mod. Drove around and by-pass mod popped off in driveway.(awesome timing!) I went to "O"Reilly's and got 5/16" fuel line and installed it properly. Well, in all this I got a check engine light. I unhooked the battery for 8hrs and started it back up. Man it runs like crap. How long should it take for the computer to smooth things out? Should I flog the hell out of it to create a more aggresive program range, or is the car that smart? Sorry for the last question it is stupied!

just let it go for a couple run cycles of driving it a few miles...the computer will completely reset after 150 miles and you will prolly receive the SES light again at that point if the problem hasn't been fixed...

You can pull the PCM BATT and PCM IGN fuses from under the hood, then disconnect the battery for about 15 minutes. This usually clears all SES lights without causing the car to run like hell, or you could just go to autozone and have them read/clear it for free.

Thanks, next time I will do that. When your up to your eyes in car trouble & kid crying you dont have time to read through the sticky posts. Just go with what you remember will work. 5yrs ago I used to know all this stuff.
