I bought the kit with my stall but never got to install it unfortunately. The stall really softened my shifts up and nothing sucks more than a soggy shift.

I've heard bad things about shift kits + increased computer-controlled line pressure prematurely exploding the sun shell.. Lemme see if I can find it.

With a shift kit you should leave the line pressure settings alone

Well, the kit I purchases from Pro Built had some revamped instructions per his recommendations, basically drilling out a couple larger holes in the valve body. Other trans go kits might have this stuff, but i'm not really shure, if not it's really not a big deal. The one main question you have to answer is how hard you want it to shift and this is basically decided on # of washers installed (1-3) 1 being mild 3 being hard. I went with one washer per PBA due to it mostly being a street car and others also like one washer for street/strip vehicles.

3 is overkill IMO, 1 is enough from what i've read.

I agree, everyone has their own opinion.
I went with 3 because my STS was making the trans slip A LOT during shifts. Now shifts no longer slip at all. During partial power (normal) shifts, it feels just like stock. Best of both worlds, IMHO.
