40's or 35's?
would a 295/40/18 tire look wierd on an 18" rim? most people are runnin the 35 series

It would set the car up high in the air. Even the 35's are going to be higher than stock using a P295.
I would go with the 35's.

Both those are too big. Go 295/30/18. Thats the closest to stock and its the stock size tires on the rears of Vettes.

I really like the 40's, it's what I am running. To me it fills the fender a bit more. 275/40/18

I have 30 series and love them. But you'll need some heigh so the tires give a little and not your rearend on the track.
