Go Pacesetter everything and you will be under that amount. Or NOS and Stall converter (if you have an A4 trans). With NOS and converter you can say hello 11sec. club. If you want to drive around and woop everybody you line up agains on the street, go heads with pacesetter, and X1 cam from MTI. These seem to be a proven combo. Someday I hope to not have the only stock 98 car on this darn list!!!!!

What car and mods do you have?

Lets start with:

$1125 - Patriot stage 1 ls6 heads w/ gold dual springs
$400 - TSP Torquer2 or MS3 or MS4 cam
$125 - 7.425 Pushrods
$150 - GM 6.0L MLS gaskets, GM headbolts, crank seal, front cover seal, waterpump gaskets, crank bolt, etc.
$200 - Powerbond underdrive pully
$25 - Home ported throttle body
$500 - Good Dynotune

$2525

This should be perfectly capable of 440+ RWHP assuming full exhaust that flows well and an ls6 intake.

MS3 cam and valvetrain mods- $1000 give or take
Fuddle 3500 stall converter-$450
Basic 150 wet shot N20 (any make)-$600

That should help you see 11s no problem.

Definitely intake/stall/cam/heads/nitrous for a major power increase.

The motor is a 2002 LS1 has less then 1K miles on it. I have a guy here in town that will tune my car for dirt cheap he tuned my other cars he mostly does LS1's.

I have a T56 Tranny also Id like to stay away from nitrous for now. My goal is to make about 450ish RWHP. Then later on add some stray or just go with a blower.

I was looking for a Heads/Cam/Maybe Ported Oilpump/Maybe upgraded timing chain & Pulley.

From what I've read the TSP LS6 Stage 1 heads seem to have great reviews I dont mind spending a bit more if I can nail 450RWHP NA. It seems as the MS3 cam does the trick but will it work without cutting the pistons with the TSP LS6 Stage 1 heads or any better head.

PS the car is a 1993 Mazda RX7 once finished should be about 2750lbs withoyut driver

The exhaust is long tube headers to 3" Y pipe the goes into a 3.5" single into a Magnaflow muffler.

One more thing if I intall this stuff my self will it be safe to drive the car to the tuner which is about 25miles away without hurting anything or should I flatbed it.

you will still be able to drive it but it will obviously need tuned very quickly. you will need a 255 or bigger pump and some decent sized injectors also.i say get the tsp heads,.040 cometics, torquer v2,42 lb injectors and check your p/v clearance and you should be close.

My god, this car is going to be a rocket ship. With a car that light, keep the stock gears if youre using the fbody rear. Do you have long tube headers on there or no? If youre going to use stock manifolds you can look into the cheaTR cam which will make the most out of the stock mani's. Longtubes, LS6 heads, MS3 or MS4 would be the ticket though.

I think you would be fine just getting a cam, skip the heads and and spend your money on suspension or nice nitrous system ( it will get your tq. numbers up)

If no N20 I would get a Trex cam, PRC LS6 heads or Dart 225s, Victor Jr intake, and 4.11s. You will fly at 2700 lbs.

At these power levels, 2700 raceweight, and a t56 transmission, he'll run out of gear with 4.10s and have to shift into 5th. He might even run out of gear with 3.73's, depending on his redline.

The car has 4.10 in it now. Im going to stick some 3.7X in there very soon. I have an LS6 Intake, Longtube headers, 255 walbro, Home ported TB,

For the 2500 im looking to get a nice head/cam/pulley/oil pump/ timing chain. I just dont wana come up short of the 450rwhp range then have to rework my heads and cams down the road. I was thinking once I get use to the car with 450rwhp Im going to shoot for 600 ish RWHP with a procharger. So in order to have 450rwhp do I need bigger injectors also would it be a good idea to get a aftermarket FPR?

Well, the problem is that you need different stuff for big HP depending if its n/a or blown. For forced induction, youll want low compression heads, probably low compression forged pistons and rods and a big traditional split yet overall smaller cam. For a normally aspirated motor, youll want a ton of compression to bump up torque from the monster cam youll be running. Decide what you want now and work towards that end goal. You wont find one setup the excels in both areas.

Just save the $2500 and build an FI aluminum block 402 or iron block 408 the first time.
