Default SW Stainless Works Headers Arrived!! Pics

Here are some pics of my stainless works headers and Y-pipe that I just got in. Only took about 2 weeks. Will be installing them in a few weeks after I can get to the track with my current set up. Thought I'd toss up a few pics since not too many f-bod guys are runnin em. Enjoy

headers look very well constructed, with very nice welds. the merge sure looks short though, and the merge on the y doesn't look like its the smoothest transition.

Hmm...those look familiar

I have the same set, but I have the tree hugger version with Random Tech cats. Just on a side note, I had to cut out about an inch on the passenger side Y pipe to get the thing to fit.

Other than that...very happy with mine! Oh, and I used the rear O2 sensors from the Vette, I think it was Part # 39111, double check that though...they are made by Bosch, don't waste your money on O2 extensions, I never really used mine coz I had all sorts of problems with throwing lazy front O2 codes after the header install.

Manny has the Wrong Part #....the Rear Vette O2 Sensor is Bosch #13111 ....they have a wider heat range and have long wires so you do not need extensions....had them for 2 1/2 weeks and they are fine, as has Manny.

Thanks for the suggestions/comments

I have been looking into a set of headers for a while, and knew I didnt want any mild steel headers coated or not. I did a little lurking around on the GTO boards and found some pics of SW headers and was very impressed with what I read and saw of the quality. I will let everyone know how the install goes with some "after" pics as well.
As far as price they are right in the area with QTP and Kooks....slightly cheaper if im not mistaken tho....caught them on a Speed Engineering GP
Great People Sean and Scott from Speed Engineering and Stainless Works.

Those headers show the same quality as the headers I have on my 2004 Silverado. Perfect welds, super clean bends/radiuses, and the fit was amazing. Aside from one of the pieces being made incorrectly (which was fixed in a matter of a few days) the headers were WELL worth the money spent. ilirw325, please keep us updated as to before and after results from the header install.

They are Stainless Works headers I ordered through Speed Engineering------>
Both are sponsors and had great experiences working with both so far.

They have several options too. You can get 3" collectors, but if you're lowered like me, the 2.5" work well. You can also get a 3.5" merge for the y-pipe; I have that setup. To hear how they sound, check out my site, there is a vid of me going down the 1/4 vs. a GTO. Great systems from these guys.

ORY and catted Y are same 304/304L stainless as the headers

Thats one of the reasons I choose them over the other big 2 stainless header brands.
