Do Cutouts Leak?
ok so if you don't already know, i've had my car for about 2 months and it has the SLP dual/dual on it. well, i'm 20 and while i still love the dual/dual, sometimes i just wanna be loud. i will likely be buying a cutout soon. my question is, for all you guys with MANUAL cutouts out there (i will not be purchasing an electric cutout, don't even try to convice me ), does your cutout leak?
the reason why i ask is, if i put my blockoff plate on my cutout, i want it to sound exactly 100% stock. is there any exhaust gases that leak out causing hissing or causing bad rasp because the cutout is making an exhaust leak? i don't want my closed cutout exhaust note to change from OEM.
any experiences would be appreciated. i want bad and good experiences, no flaming out the guys that have had bad ones
BTW, i will be buying the stainless QTP manual cutout from thunder. i see no reason to buy the flowtech one. for 10 bucks more, you may as well get stainless. shoot, my whole exhaust is stainless, why make rust?

The cutout will come with gaskets so it doesnt leak. I've only put the cap on once and it did not leak. It sounds exactly how it did before i bought the cutout. Once you put your cutout on you probably wont want to cap it anyway. I kno i dont want mine on at all.

there should be no leaking at all...the gasket and cap seals well. I had to touch up a few welds on my manual QTP cutout because the overseas crappy welds werent complete and you could see light through in 2 places.....small but would have leaked. the area where the pipes merge.
