Default Dale You're My Hero!!

What I like is, "Dale Jr. is looking to upgrade his car collection, so he is auctioning his 2005 Corvette." Like he doesn't have enough money to go out and buy something else, and probablyyyy doesn't have the garage space.

jerky.

Talking about his cars, this is what's listed on his website for personal cars:

A constantly changing array, including:
2001 Corvette C5-R w/LeMans wing
2005 Corvette,
1968 Camaro
2001 "Intimidator SS" Camaro
2003 Tahoe
1996 Hummer
2001 Escalade
2002 Mini Cooper
1971 Chevy Impala

Quite a large list of toys that's for sure.

Best line on his website:

IF I WASN'T RACING: I'd be working at my dad's Chevy dealership. It was only a couple of years ago I was the fastest oil-change man in the place.

At least he's down to earth about life.

I like Jr. and all, but the 'Vette isn't worth the 65k (current bid) considering the only upgrades are paint(not diggin' the pearl color or the flame layout) and rims (ugly rims at that.)

Good luck to the winner...

I wonder if you get to meet him if you buy it.... The reason he will probably get atleast 65k is that car will most likely be a collectors car now that he has owned it.

Yeah the ebay ad says that you get to take delivery of the car from Jr. himself and he will sign the dashboard if you like. I think the personal delivery option is what's driving the cost up so much.

ugly paint job and wheels. what he couldn't afford the z06? haha. and you'd think with him being a celebrity he would auction it off for charity or something.

It's an early vin # 2005 model, the Zo6 wasn't out yet. He's probably going to buy that next and screw it up the same way.

i'm surprised you guys don't like the paint job. i haven't seen many like that. i think the paint job is nice, it's got the ls2.
i'm like most of you though, i wouldn't pay 65 for it, not an earnhardt fan either, but i think the rims and paint job look good.

if it were at a car show, i'm sure it would get lots of compliments?

it's going for 65K cause Dale Earnhardt Jr drove it. Anyother person did everything he did to it, they would get a lot less. Imagine how cool it would be to tell people,"yea, this was Dale Jr's car, now its mine. He signed the dash, got to meet him." If I had that money to throw around, I might have bought it lol...then again, im a HUGE Dale Jr. fan so, oh well

YEAH, cause he needs the money ? P.S. I think that car looks Mint! Those are those realistic flames that guy on Chip Foose's Overhauled does. Those flamed ghost Skulls look sick and I like the Rims too.

If you were a Dale Jr, or even Dale Sr fan I could see how this car would be worth every penny if you had the money to drop on it. Like everyone said, it's all about the experience in getting to meet a motorsports 'hero' to some.

It's like buying a viper from Carol Shelby that was his personal car and that he signed. You're not buying it for being a modified Corvette, you're buying it because it's Dale Jr's. I'd bet if he were selling his Intimidator Camaro SS it would be going for close to $100K.

That would be the starting bid... trust me. His dad signed the tach and gave it to his son as a personal gift. -Jr. will never sell that car, it'll be in his will.

Here's a pic of one of the 29 tach's that recieved the "signed tach option" before Sr's death.
