Default Tranny R&R

My stock 4L60E on my 99 Z28 with 95k on the clock is starting to slip and clunk. If im going to be doing anything to the trans i want to do it once. Im not sure of the stall for a TC, from reading threads i think i want a 3800 stall. and also, what are the benefits of a 4L80E? is it better than a 4L60E? I dont drag, some street racing... i generaly like to drive fast every where i go. on a scale of 1-10 for mechanical ability ill give myself a 8. on a scale on 1-10 how hard is it to R&R a tranny/TC/fly wheel?

You can do it yourself. It's much easier than it looks. Just give yourself plenty of time and use all of it.

a 4l80E is a beast compared to the 4l60e. I had one in my 2500HD and loved it.
