Cold air intake people should I seal the front of my lid airbox?
I'm curious to see what you guys think about this. I have a 01 SS (I know I know the hood doesnt really function) I have read several threads that say the hood doesnt work but have read a couple that argued this. I installed a Whisper Cold Air intake under my SLP lid and drove the car for distance. The car seemed a little stronger in 5th gear and 6th gear. I really don't drive my car hard hell i only drive it on the weekend. Anyway is there more power to be gained by sealing off the front of the airbox? I understand the theory that some air does escape but with my SS hood supposedely there is air coming from my Hood also. What do you guys think?

If you're going with a bottom breather setup than you should modify your airdam a bit so it feeds more air to your cai.
You should seal it since no air gets through the front anyways. At least the SS hood is fiberglass
