Default Trans am lid fitting a firebird?

I have a V6 firebird that has had part of the lid assembly melted when i bought it. Will a Trans Am lid assembly fit my car? Theres 2 hours left in the auction for the one im looking at so please leave an answer soon.

I'm pretty sure it won't fit. As I recall a Firebird lid is kinda offset, so the bellow wouldn't line up right. Maybe someone else can chime in.

The V6 lids are not the same as the LS1 lids. The circular inlet that leads to the bellow is offset.

damn...i would take offense if i had a v6, almost every time someone with a sixxer asks for help with something the answer is..."get a v8"....

yea, i agree. some people like their V6. i say more power to them.

get yourself a whisper lid. they're only about $100 for the V6 and you'll net some nice gains in the process. they're a good investment for us all, V6's and V8's alike.

and no, a V8 lid won't fit. the induction bellows is on the wrong spot and won't allign correctly.
